The Small Industry Credit Guarantee Corporation (SICGC) is a state-owned specialized financial institution under the supervision of Ministry of Finance and was established under the Small Industry Credit Guarantee Corporation Act B.E. 2534 (A.D. 1991) on December 30, 1991 by taking all businesses and operations of the Small Industry Credit Guarantee Fund (SICGF). SICGC officially commenced its operation on February 21, 1992 with an initial registered capital of Baht 400 million. On July 3, 2000 SICGC got Baht 4 billion recapitalization from the Ministry of Finance. Therefore and its registered capital was increased to Baht 4.4 billion.
