Yoshida started its business in Thailand in 1977, in a joint venture with Bureau of the Crown Property, The Industrial Finance Corporation of Thailand and The Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited and other companies, as a producer and distributor of a wide range of nylon zip fasteners. The company's original name, YKK Zipper (THAILAND) CO.,LTD. was changed to YKK (THAILAND) CO.,LTD. in 1995.
In additional, YKK (THAILAND) CO.,LTD. has played a significant role in the development of the country's garment and bag industries, particularly by transferring advanced technology and know-how from YKK CORPORATION Japan.
