Job Specific:
Primary
This scope of work entails updating drawings to reflect simple modification tasks. A simple modification refers to changes authorized by the engineering team to be executed by on-site personnel or the team overseeing the facilities. Upon completion of such modifications, all relevant drawings and documents must be updated to accurately represent the changes, ensuring alignment with the as-built drawings. This process is critical to maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of the facility.
Secondary
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for electrical wiring, instrumentation layouts, and control systems.
- Create schematics, single-line diagrams (SLDs), panel layouts, and termination drawings.
- Design cable tray layouts, routing plans, and wiring interconnections.
- Work closely with electrical and instrumentation engineers to ensure designs align with project specifications.
- Interpret and convert engineering notes, sketches, and specifications into technical drawings.
- Draft P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) for process control systems.
- Design layouts for field instruments, control panels, junction boxes, and PLC/DCS systems.
- Ensure drawings adhere to industry standards such as IEC, NEC, or IEEE.
- Comply with safety regulations and quality control requirements.
- Maintain and update project documentation, including revisions and as-built drawings.
- Ensure proper version control of all technical documents.
- Update drawings to reflect site modifications or changes in project scope.
- Prepare material take-off (MTO) lists for cables, conduits, and E&I components.
- Coordinate with procurement teams for material selection and compatibility.
For Piping Draftsman

They collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient planning and implementation of piping systems in industrial, or residential projects.

- Interpret and implement engineering instructions, sketches, and specifications.
- Identify appropriate materials, valves, supports, and fittings for the piping systems.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure compatibility of components.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., ASME, ANSI, or API codes).
- Verify that piping layouts meet project and environmental requirements.
- Assist in reviewing and updating drawings based on field modifications or feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and project updates.
- Provide regular updates to project managers regarding design progress.
For E&I Draftsman
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics Engineering.
- Certification in CAD or E&I drafting is an advantage.
- Expertise in CAD software like AutoCAD, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical.
- Familiarity with industry tools like SmartPlant Instrumentation, ETAP, or Revit.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, and instrumentation devices.
- Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems is a plus.
- Ability to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances.
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting, preferably in industries like oil & gas, power plants, or manufacturing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication for interacting with engineers and project stakeholders.

- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit).
- Knowledge of piping design software like SmartPlant, Caesar II, or Navisworks is a plus.
- Understanding of piping systems, pressure ratings, and flow dynamics.
- Familiarity with industrial plant layouts and isometric drawings.
- Ability to produce highly accurate and detailed drawings.
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances.
- Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with team members and stakeholders.
- 2–5 years of experience in piping drafting, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or construction industries.
