Accounting Manager
Thoresen Thai Agencies Public Company LimitedPosition Summary: The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, providing strategic financial input to senior management, and ensuring the company's financial health. This position plays a crucial role in financial reporting, financial forecasting, cash planning, managing financial risks, overseeing budgeting processes, tax filings, internal controls and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analyses.
- Make recommendations to improve financial performance and profitability.
3. Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, management reports, and financial forecasts.
- Oversee all financial reporting, including statutory accounts, board reports, and investor presentations.
- Provide insights based on financial data to support business decisions.
4. Risk Management:
- Identify and manage financial risks to the organization, including currency, interest rate, and operational risks.
- Develop and oversee risk management policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, financial regulations, and industry standards.
5. Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
- Manage company liquidity and capital structure, ensuring optimal funding levels.
- Oversee cash flow planning, ensuring adequate liquidity to meet the company's obligations.
- Maintain relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions.
6. Compliance & Auditing:
- Ensure that the company complied with Cambodian financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
7. Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Setting up financial processes and systems and ensure continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of accountability and excellence within the finance team.
8. Cost Control & Efficiency:
- Analyze costs and expenses to guide management in making decisions to optimize spending.
- Identify areas where efficiencies can be achieved and costs can be reduced.
- Oversee procurement strategies to ensure value for money.
1. Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Finance) is highly preferred.
- Professional accounting qualifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) are preferred.
2. Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in finance roles, with at least 5 years in a leader/management role.
- Proven experience in financial strategy, analysis, forecasting, and planning.
- Experience with financial reporting, risk management, and treasury functions.
- Experience in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate finance is a plus.
- Knowledge of Cambodian tax and regulatory environment.
- Experience in setting up financial systems and processes are preferred.
3. Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of financial management, corporate finance, and accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP).
- Proficiency with financial software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Advanced knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis tools.
- Knowledge of taxation laws, regulatory requirements, and compliance matters.

- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and senior management.
