Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, design, and maintain custom reports and dashboards from our company’s SQL databases (currently using Microsoft SQL Server).
• Collaborate with different departments to understand their data needs and create tailored reporting solutions to meet those requirements.
• Ensure data is accessible, accurate, and easily understandable for non-technical staff.
• Be proactive in identifying reporting and data needs across the organization and work independently to deliver solutions.
• Utilize any tools and software of your choice (e.g., SSAS, Power Query, Power Pivot, Power BI, or other reporting/visualization tools) to create dynamic and user-friendly reports.
• Provide ongoing support and training to teams in accessing and interpreting their data, ensuring timely, fast, and correct data usage.
• Troubleshoot and solve technical problems independently, seeking out resources, research, and new tools as needed to overcome challenges.
• Continuously look for opportunities to optimize data usage and reporting efficiency across departments.
• Work closely with the management team to align reports with business goals.
Requirements:
• 3-5 years of experience in data reporting, BI development, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server).
• Expertise in data reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSAS, or any equivalent tool of choice).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges on your own with minimal guidance.
• Experience with data modeling and creating custom reports for various business units.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.
Preferred Skills (but not required):
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Query, Power Pivot, and other data integration tools.
• Knowledge of data warehousing principles and OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) solutions.
• Experience in training and supporting non-technical users to leverage data insights.
