Core Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to identify the best options for quality, cost, and reliability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, contracts, and pricing.
- Place orders for goods, materials, and services based on organizational needs.
- Ensure all purchases comply with company budgets, policies, and quality standards.
- Monitor purchase orders to guarantee timely delivery and resolve any delays.
- Analyze inventory levels and forecast future needs using sales trends and historical data.
- Collaborate with materials planners and inventory teams to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality standards.
- Analyze and optimize shipping costs to secure the most cost-effective freight solutions.
- Develop and maintain a detailed vendor database for quick and easy reference.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on reliability, quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
- Work closely with operations, finance, and production departments to understand procurement needs.
- Provide insights and recommendations on procurement strategies that align with company goals.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of direct purchasing experience preferred; fresh graduates with the right attitude are welcome to apply.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and basic Mandarin
- Technical Skills:
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and email communication
- Familiarity with SAP systems is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with the needs of the specific industry sector is a plus.
