- Establish quality standards and requirements in collaboration with the design and engineering teams.
- Develop a Quality Plan (Control Plan) and Process Flow to ensure the production process meets desired quality levels.
- Conduct risk analysis and error prevention using FMEA tools to reduce the likelihood of issues arising from the injection molding process.
- Oversee the production of new model sample parts to test mechanical properties, durability, and compliance with specifications.
- Prepare test reports and implement corrective actions for any issues encountered during testing to ensure sample parts receive customer approval (PPAP).
- Define critical inspection points in the injection molding and assembly processes, such as size, shape, and strength checks, to ensure products meet established standards.
- Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to monitor process stability and analyze data to control production variability.
- Analyze and identify root causes of defects found in the injection molding process, including using 8D or PDCA principles to solve problems and prevent future issues.
- Collaborate with departments such as production, marketing, quality control, and product design and development to improve processes and reduce defect rates.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to quality inspections, product approvals, and process improvements.
- Monitor real-time production quality, analyze data to detect defect trends, and continuously improve processes.
- Inspect completed parts before delivery to customers to ensure they meet size, shape, and durability requirements.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in engineering fields such as industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, production engineering, polymer engineering, petrochemical engineering, or related fields.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in the automotive manufacturing or automotive parts industry.
- Experience in a supervisory or assistant manager position is a plus.
- Ability to manage a team and lead in quality improvement processes.
- Skills in planning, resource allocation, and performance tracking.
- Knowledge of automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, PPAP, and APQP.
- Proficiency in quality analysis tools such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, and 8D, including statistical data analysis.
- Ability to analyze root causes of quality issues in the production process and use tools such as PDCA or Six Sigma to improve processes.
- Good communication skills, able to coordinate with internal teams and customers, including reporting and technical documentation.
- Attention to detail in inspecting quality and production standards of parts to ensure that products meet specified requirements.
- Proficiency in English is beneficial, as coordination with international customers or suppliers may be required. A TOEIC score of over 450 is necessary.
