Senior IT Security Manager  : Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement the organization's IT security strategy and vision.
• Establish and maintain information security policies, standards, and procedures.

Security Governance:

• Provide leadership in risk management, compliance, and security governance.
• Ensure that security practices align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Cybersecurity Operations:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT security team.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches.
• Implement security controls and technologies to protect against threats.

Security Awareness and Training:

• Promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
• Conduct employee training and awareness programs to reduce security risks.

Compliance and Auditing:

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Coordinate and participate in security audits and assessments.

Vendor Management:

• Evaluate and manage security vendors and technologies.
• Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with third-party security providers.

Security Architecture:

• Design and maintain a robust security architecture.
• Evaluate and recommend security solutions and technologies.

Incident Response and Recovery:

• Develop and maintain an incident response plan.
• Lead incident response efforts and coordinate recovery actions.

Budget Management:

• Develop and manage the IT security budget.
• Allocate resources effectively to meet security objectives.

• Monitor and analyze security events, identifying potential threats.
• Respond to and resolve security incidents promptly.
• Implement and maintain security controls and technologies.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security requirements.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on security threats and provide proactive mitigation.
• Deliver security awareness training.
• Maintain documentation of security operations and incidents.
• Participate in security audits and compliance assessments.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar are preferred.
• Proven experience in IT security.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and emerging threats.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with security technologies and tools.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Relevant certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH) preferred.
• Experience in IT security operations or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards.
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for incident response.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Adaptability to changing security threats and technologies.
