Category Manager

- Develop marketing and sales strategies for product categories, including pricing and promotional planning.
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitors to improve and enhance the potential of the product categories under management.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to plan product presentations and promotions to target the right audience.
- Identify and approach new suppliers, persuading them to partner with the company to sell their products.
- Coordinate with distributors and suppliers to source products and manage long-term relationships.
- Monitor inventory and plan purchases to prevent stock shortages and control storage costs.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in category management, product management, or marketing.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
- A deep understanding of the Indian market, customer behavior, and retail trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in teams and coordinate with various departments.
- Knowledge of market trends, consumer behavior, and product management strategies.
- Proficiency in analytical tools and software such as Microsoft Office Suite, category management tool.
