- Plan and control metal plating processes on surfaces such as gold plating, silver plating, chrome plating, or nickel plating to improve material properties.
- Inspect and improve the operation of plating equipment such as plating tanks, electrolytes, and temperature control devices.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues in the plating process such as coating inconsistency, corrosion, or surface quality problems.
- Develop new plating techniques and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with production and other engineering teams to ensure the manufacturing process meets the set standards and requirements.
- Oversee quality control and inspect finished products after plating to ensure high-quality outcomes in line with customer standards.
- Manage the proper and safe storage of chemicals used in plating, while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in metal plating processes.
- Strong understanding of chemicals used in plating and electrochemical processes (electroplating).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to handle technical issues in the plating process.
- Detail-oriented with strong quality control capabilities.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental standards related to working with chemicals and plating processes.
- Proficiency in basic computer software such as Microsoft Office (Excel, PTT), Minitab, AutoCAD, Solid work or related design software.
