Materials Development Engineer

- Oversee production efficiency (e.g., Standard Tires per man-hour), benchmark performance against other entities, and create improvement plans.
- Ensure smooth flow of people and materials, focusing on safety, ergonomics, and creating an organized, 5S-compliant workplace.
- Work with the Supply Chain Management team to define plans for expanding production capacity to meet future demand.
- Share insights and successful practices with global teams, and bring ideas from other plants or central teams to improve local operations.
- Lead meetings to create a 5-year roadmap based on future demand and new technology to support plant growth.
- Be the key user of manufacturing systems for tasks like tracking investment, cycle times, and human resource planning.
- Help develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures to ensure efficient processes.
- Lead initiatives to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S principles.
- Use data analysis to identify improvement opportunities, and conduct workshops to implement changes.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive experience in Engineering, preferably within the automotive or industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Experience working in large international corporations and complex organizational structures.
- Ability to work well with diverse cultures and demonstrate inclusive behavior.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently under time pressure.
