- Analyze existing systems and processes and identify value-added and non-value-added activities to solve design challenges.
- Conceive, design, and develop innovative solutions based on analysis and organizational objectives.
- Evaluate new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input for scheduling methods, performance metrics, and financial standards.
- Uphold the company’s reputation by delivering innovative solutions while adhering to local and national regulations.
- Manage and conduct employee training for productivity improvement projects and mentor fellow engineers and technicians.
- Identify opportunities for preventing waste and inefficiency during production.
- Research and test design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing lean manufacturing, kaizen, Six Sigma, and root-cause analysis to formulate and support innovation, corrective actions, and improvements.
- Design and develop robust manufacturing concepts to simplify and improve processes and ensure best practices.
- Create and maintain required documentation for manufacturing processes, including flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis, and line balancing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insights and direction.
- Assist in identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives to ensure the best position for the company.
- Regularly monitor Operational KPI’s including CRD, Yield, Scrap, and publish reports along with action plans to achieve targets.
- Build strong internal relationships and work with all areas to address purchasing issues and requirements.
- Support continuous improvement by working with internal and group colleagues to enhance procurement and supply chain processes, tools, and ways of working.
- Implement new tools, processes, and procedures identified for group rollout.
- Work within Health & Safety regulations, Company Quality and Environmental systems, and all other Company policies and procedures.
- Foster a culture of mutual respect and dignity by working positively with colleagues and contracted personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in fiber optics or aerospace industries.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.).
- Poficient in English.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments.
