Operation Director
Thai Garment Export Co., Ltd. (นนทบุรี)- Develop and manage the Operations Department’s annual and three-year business plans, aligning with the factory’s goals and KPI targets.
- Oversee CAPEX budgets and ensure compliance with the factory's operational policies.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to plan, monitor, and optimize production capacity based on customer orders.
- Ensure all garment production meets quality and delivery specifications while operating cost-effectively.
- Work closely with Customer Service and Planning (CSP) to understand order requirements using tools such as the Fashion Planning Workbench (FPW) and Advanced Production Planning (APP).
- Plan and prepare Operations Department capacity (efficiency, Standard Minute Value (SMV), headcount) based on order projections and fluctuations.
- Monitor and adjust order loading to optimize performance and manage peaks and troughs in production demand.
- Facilitate cross-factory support for production capacity when needed.
- Ensure bulk order garment output meets division and customer quality standards, quantity specifications, delivery dates, and factory cost requirements.
- Collaborate with Technical & Quality teams to support on-time production through the Technical-Production Integration (TPI) process.
- Monitor and report production performance against established KPIs, identifying root causes of deviations and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop quick-resolution processes for customer issues and coordinate cross-functional problem-solving as necessary.
- Implement a structured approach to staffing, training, and succession planning for the Operations team.
- Set and monitor SMART goals for team members, providing guidance to improve performance and enhance skills.
- Drive adherence to safety regulations and 5S practices, creating a healthy work environment.
- Establish processes for quality control and quick resolution of non-conformance issues.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Share best practices and learnings with other factories to enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the apparel industry.
- Proven track record of managing production teams and meeting operational KPIs.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
