1. Controls and Compliance:
• Key person to governance and compliance
• Supervise, monitor, and review project financial records in line with national laws and corporate policies
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Ensures compliance with local regulatory and tax requirements including preparation of documentary submissions and tax filings
• Maintenance of strong financial controls around cash management, payments, payroll, and invoicing
• Tax compliance in respect of VAT and Corporation tax
• Business partnering with various stakeholders
• Analyzing opportunities for business expansion and new business
• Analyzing department opportunities for efficiency
2. Monthly closing, Forecasting, Budgeting and Analysis:
• Lead & Overseas general accounting processes, financial statement reconciliation, tax function to ensure monthly, quarterly annual reports are done accurately, completely, validly, in compliance with internal controls and in a timely manner
• Manage billing, accounts receivables, accounts payables, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition
• Mange project accounting
• Monthly P&L, NWC and cash flow forecasting
• To plan, manage and deliver the rolling monthly forecast and annual budgeting processes.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions as needed.
• Key role to manage collections and sales revenue recognition with the team
3. Others: a key role to change the culture
• Liaising with external & internal auditor, tax consultant, lawyer, notary & bank
• Lead the team to be more efficient and effective by improving the competencies, capabilities, and quality of work. Coaching and performance feedback to the team to foster a high-performing finance department.
