Key responsibilities:
• Supervise implementation of plans, procedures and policies on the following:
o Route planning, Dispatch & Delivery.
o Loading (in coordination with Operations - Warehouse)
o Track & trace monitoring delivery status
o Post Delivery activities (including backhauling pick-ups)
o Control and Validation of truck fuel consumption and driver trip allowance
o Management of subcontractor truck
o Management of other Transportation Business (including Freight Management)
• Assist the Transport Manager for the development, establishment and implementation of innovative and cost reduction projects aligned with the company strategic direction.
• Supervise development and implementation of procedures, policies and systems.
• Lead department meetings to review processes, performance and issues. See to it that specific organizational objective as well as productivity measures are clearly understood and thoroughly explained to the subordinates.
• Assist the Transport Manager on development of contingency plans.
• Handle Transportation capacity and manpower planning.
• Coordinate with F&A, HC and QA Department for appropriation of resources and for employee training and development. Train and supervise Transportation Personnel.
• Supervise preparation and review of periodic reports as per set requirements and cut-offs.
• Supervise implementation of Food Safety Program.
• Manage Transportation Planners visits.
• Perform other tasks that may be assigned by superior from time to time.
