- Production Scheduling:
-Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
-Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand, equipment availability, and other factors. - Resource Management:
-Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and components.
-Manage labor resources, including staffing levels and shift planning. - Workflow Optimization:
-Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement.
-Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and increase efficiency. - Coordination and Communication:
-Liaise with various departments (e.g., sales, marketing, engineering) to understand production requirements and constraints.
-Communicate production plans and schedules to relevant stakeholders. - Data Analysis and Reporting:
-Monitor production performance and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
-Prepare and present reports on production metrics and performance. - Quality Control:
-Ensure that production processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
-Work with quality assurance teams to address any issues or defects. - Technology and Tools:
-Utilize production planning software and tools to manage schedules and resources.
-Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in production planning.
- Bachelor's degree Industrial Engineering or other engineering fields Related
- At least 2 years of experience in production planning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in production planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Typically works in an office environment but may require visits to the production floor.
- May involve some travel to suppliers or other company facilities.
