Cyber Security & PDPA Senior Officer

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor and respond to Anti-Virus alerts.
• Manage and execute timely patch updates across systems.
• Configure and maintain firewalls to ensure network security.
• Control and monitor internet access to ensure security compliance.
• Summarize and analyze security risks and vulnerabilities of servers and client systems.
• Provide regular reports on security status and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Lead and manage cybersecurity projects to enhance the security posture of the organization.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement security initiatives.
• Build and sustain cybersecurity awareness among company staff at all levels.
• Conduct regular training sessions on cybersecurity best practices.
• Oversee Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) compliance from upstream to downstream processes.
• Ensure that all data handling practices are aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and address vulnerabilities within existing security systems.
• Perform penetration tests or collaborate with penetration testers to identify potential security issues.
• Develop and implement organization-wide security measures, including phishing tests and security drills.
• Document known security breaches, vulnerabilities, and mitigation actions.
• Provide feedback to cybersecurity engineers to improve current or proposed systems.
• Stay informed about the latest IT and cybersecurity developments.
• Implement industry best practices to upgrade networks and security systems.
• Conduct regular audits to identify security violations or vulnerabilities.
• Implement and monitor security controls to safeguard the organization.
• Research, test, and implement new security technologies.
• Develop and manage firewalls for network infrastructure.
• Grant and manage user privileges based on role requirements and use cases.
• Delegate tasks and monitor the performance of the cybersecurity team.
• Oversee updates to existing security systems and implement new protocols.
• Lead efforts to address and mitigate security breaches.
• Develop and adjust security strategies as necessary.

• Qualifications and Skills:
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide and manage cybersecurity teams.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently manage resources to achieve cybersecurity goals.
  • Creative Problem-solving: Ability to think critically and solve complex security issues.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing and delivering cybersecurity projects.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with different departments.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficient in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), antivirus solutions, proxies, firewalls, and intrusion detection.
  • Endpoint Management: Experience managing various endpoints, including computers, mobile devices, and IoT devices.
  • Network Security Expertise: Knowledge and experience with network data, logs, and attack artifacts.
  • PDPA Certification: Certified in Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) compliance.
