RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform incoming, outgoing and in-process inspections of raw materials, semi-finished or finished parts, and to comply with requirements of specifications.
• Perform parts identification with reference to engineering data sheet and work order package before manufacturing process started.
• Witness hydro and gas test process, review and endorse test result.
• Liaise with sub-contractors for NDT and maintain records of qualification of NDE personnel of sub-out sources.
• Monitor welders’ performance and the welding procedures to check for compliance.
• Witness and verify the welding procedures qualification tests and welders’ performance qualification.
• Ensure the deliverables of projects meet client’s specification and internal quality system requirements.
• Ensure all measuring, monitoring and testing equipment are in working condition and within calibration period.
• Compile and review Inspection reports; maintain QC documentations and filing system.
• Raise and maintain records of NCR, ensure CPAR taken place to close NCR.
• Participate in source inspection if needed (local or overseas).
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in the oil and gas industry or related fields.
• In-depth knowledge of API 6A standards, equipment, and inspection procedures.
• Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment such as micrometres, callipers, pressure gauges, and surface roughness testers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications.
• Knowledge of welding inspection, pressure testing, and dimensional measurements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformances in products.
• Good understanding of safety protocols and industry regulations.
• Strong communication skills to document findings and report quality issues clearly.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
