- Supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency by scheduling maintenance during non-peak hours.
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing direction, support, and training.
2. Develop and Implement Maintenance Schedules
- Create and manage a regular maintenance schedule to prevent unplanned downtimes.
- Track and document all maintenance activities, ensuring equipment complies with safety standards.
3. Manage Equipment and Inventory
- Keep track of equipment parts and maintain adequate inventory of necessary repair supplies and tools.
- Coordinate with vendors to procure parts, negotiate contracts, and schedule service calls when needed.
4. Implement Safety Protocols
- Ensure the team follows all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe work environment.
5. Budget Management
- Manage the maintenance budget, monitoring expenditures and controlling costs.
- Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures, whether through improved processes, supplier negotiations, or energy efficiency improvements.
6. Troubleshoot and Repair Machinery
- Provide hands-on support in troubleshooting and fixing machinery issues when necessary, particularly during critical failures.
- Work with production managers to understand machinery needs and maintain smooth operations.
7. Coordinate with Cross-functional Teams
- Work closely with production, quality control, and procurement teams to align maintenance goals with operational goals.
- Communicate with upper management regarding maintenance activities, budget status, and areas of improvement.
8. Training and Development
- Organize and conduct training sessions for the maintenance team, ensuring that all team members are knowledgeable about the latest repair and maintenance techniques.
- Implement mentorship programs for junior technicians to build skills and improve performance.
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting; prior experience in furniture manufacturing is a plus.
3. At least 2-3 years of management experience in maintenance or operations management.
4. Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic machinery.
5. Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of equipment used in furniture manufacturing (e.g., saws, drills, presses, CNC machines).
6. Soft Skills
- Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Problem-solving mindset with excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Effective communication skills to interact with various departments, vendors, and upper management.
7. Knowledge of Safety Regulations
- Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing and industrial equipment.
- Experience implementing safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance.
8. Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include lifting heavy equipment, exposure to noise, and standing for long periods.

The company originated in 1978 as importer and distributor of furniture fittings and accessories from Europe. Modernform started manufacturing and marketing of office furniture in 1980, and subsequently expanded its business scope to cover residential furniture and kitchen units.By 1990 Modernform Group consisted of altogether 9 business units, of which 5 were marketing units and 4 were manufacturing operations.
All 9 business units were restructured and consolidated under one flagship company, Modernform Group, and subsequently, in January 1992 Modernform Group became a listed company on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
Modernform targets the middle to upper-end markets and consistently achieves a leading market share in Thailand for office furniture, a continual market share growth in residential furniture and kitchen units, as well as export sales growth.
