We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Innovation Engineer to lead and support efforts in advancing manufacturing processes, sustainability initiatives, and technological integration within the tableware glass industry. This role is critical for driving operational improvements, implementing cutting-edge technologies, and enhancing overall production efficiency.
The Innovation Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for optimization, test and validate new methods, and implement practical solutions that align with the company’s vision for innovation and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manufacturing Process Optimization:
• Analyze current manufacturing workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Design, test, and implement innovative solutions to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
• Integrate automation and digital tools to streamline operations and reduce costs.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of process changes to ensure they meet performance and cost-effectiveness goals.
2. Technology Research and Integration:
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies in the glass manufacturing sector.
• Research and evaluate new equipment, materials, and techniques for potential adoption.
• Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to implement advanced systems into production processes.
• Support the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies, including IoT, data analytics, and robotics.
3. Sustainability Initiatives:
• Contribute to sustainability goals by researching and implementing energy-efficient and environmentally friendly production methods.
• Explore and test eco-friendly materials and waste reduction techniques.
• Track and analyze data to measure progress in reducing the environmental impact of production.
• Collaborate on initiatives to achieve certifications and compliance with industry sustainability standards.
4. Prototyping and Testing:
• Develop prototypes and conduct tests to validate new processes and technologies.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure the seamless implementation of tested solutions.
• Document findings, results, and recommendations from prototyping and testing activities
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Experience:
• 2-4 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (glass or ceramics industry preferred).
• Proven experience in researching, testing, and implementing process improvements.
Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design or modeling tools.
• Familiarity with automation, IoT, and digital manufacturing technologies.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy-efficient production techniques.
Soft Skills:
• Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, with a passion for learning and innovation.
