• Design and develop door trim panels as well as related components namely armrests, grab handles, speaker grilles.
• Develop 3D models using CAD software (NX)
• Ensure the door trim meet criteria, laws and regulations also proper with overall interior of vehicle
• Study selection of materials and composites based on durability, weight, cost, quality also delivery of parts
• Collaborate with ISUZU Motors Japan, suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the feasibility.
• Conduct ergonomic study to ensure the appropriateness of use.
• Work with other design engineer teams on parts integration.
• Identify and resolve design issues through DFMEA
• Work with other cross-functional teams upon request
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related fields.
• Must be able to communicate in Japanese (JLPT N3)
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (NX is preferable.)
• Have experience at least 5 years in interior related parts design with focus on door trim.
• Have knowledge of plastic parts engineering design, polymer, material and production processes, acoustics and sound insulation techniques.
