QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
(1) Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Political Science, Economics, International Relations, or English Language is required.
(2) Experience: A minimum of two years progressively experience in protocol, secretarial, administrative or event management with good background of Thai culture and international business etiquette, plus a minimum of one year’s professional experience in interpreting from English into Thai and from Thai into English and periodic work translating documents from English into Thai and Thai into English is required.
(3) Language: (This will be tested.)
• Professional Translator/Interpreter in Speaking/Reading/Writing English and Thai is required.
• Please clarify level of your Thai and English language skills on application.
• You are required to pass the English Placement test (EPT) that is conducted by the Regional Human Resources Office or submit a copy of valid TOEIC score of at least 900 with your application.
(4) Skills:
• Ability to handle a large volume and wide variety of duties simultaneously, rapidly and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to draft correspondence in both English and Thai.
• Ability to foresee potential problems, draw them to the attention of the supervisor and recommend corrective measures.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office software.
(5) Knowledge:
• A thorough knowledge of important people in Thailand. Sensitivity to and understanding of the political and social structure, and power relationships between people.
