Description:
Showroom Sales Consultants are the face of their company, greeting clients and guiding them through the process of finding the right product and purchasing. They must be welcoming, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their product while also being aware of the strengths and weaknesses of their major competitors. As a Showroom Sales team member you will be responsible for the profitable sales growth of the brands through the showroom channel as well as driving market share by developing brand commitment. This individual would also be responsible for developing and owning the relationships with retail customers, designers, architects, and custom home builders.
Qualifications
- 2 -5 years (min.) relevant professional experience in showroom sales or similar roles, such as marketing or related-design positions.
- Tertiary Qualifications within a recognized Business, Marketing or related-Design program.
- Highly computer literate.
The ideal candidate will also possess the following competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, impeccable personal presentation & style, and a genuine passion for the highest level of customer service.
- Present and detail company products and services to existing and potential clients, and make follow-up contact with previous visitors to the showroom.
- Maintain the showrooms display design and general cleanliness, under the direction of the Showroom Supervisor and Visual Merchandiser.
- Maintain ongoing research and staying up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends, including those of market competitors.
- Prepare and activate the associated computer systems/paperwork to process sales, and assist with the preparation of reports on sales activity and effectiveness of product display.
- Previous sales experience, preferably with experience in premium imported products.
- Ability to drive two-way communication, knows customer value drivers, and is a skilled negotiator who understands the decision-making process.
- Treats colleagues and partners with respect – considers and responds appropriately to the needs, feelings, and capabilities of different people.
- Ability to take direction & work under pressure and can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Thinks ‘outside of the box’, actively contributing ideas to help drive growth, and is always open to learning new things.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to meet the appropriate social expectations of a professional office environment, as well as the company’s reputation and premium brands.
- May be required to undertake domestic and international travel for business purposes.
- May be required to attend networking and business entertainment functions.
