The teacher assistant works under the direction of the classroom teacher and offers supports in the fulfilment of the teacher’s professional responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist students individually, in groups and who require special help e.g. those with learning difficulties.
2. Share ideas, discuss classroom activities and projects with the classroom teacher.
3. Create, maintain, and organize teaching materials and resources.
4. Assist the classroom teacher in assessing students and the substitute teacher when the classroom teacher is absent.
5. Other duties assigned by supervising teacher, Principal or Head of school.
The Teacher Assistant ,on occasions when service is required of classroom assistant, to extend working hours beyond the contracted time or to discharge his / her duties on a non-working day, the teacher assistant must be willing to support the school in all official events and activities.
Candidates must have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Education
- 3+ Years of classroom experience in an early years setting
- Holds a Teaching License (does not have to be Thai Teaching License)
- Good health without any underlying diseases impeding work
- Good command of spoken and written Thai and English. Able to communicate clearly in English.
- Ability to build good relationship with children, teachers, parents, carers
- Understanding of school environment and child learning & development
- Good communication, organisational, and collaboration skills, a good attitude, and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and creativity
- Teamwork skills
- Currently situated in Nonthaburi (Trial/Demo day will be required as part of the interview process)
