- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety and environmental programs.
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Regularly update safety protocols to reflect changes in regulations or industry standards
- Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory agencies.
- Conduct audits and inspections to identify and correct non-compliance issues.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain records of incidents, inspections, and training sessions.
- Supervise and mentor the safety and environmental team.
- Coordinate with other departments to integrate safety and environmental considerations into all operations.
- Provide leadership in emergency response planning and execution.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in safety and environmental management.
- Bachelor's in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety and environmental management role.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified ISO 45001 / ISO 14001.
