Purpose of the Role:
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the school’s procurement process of supplies and
services to ensure maximum operational effectiveness.
The post holder will report directly to the Head of School and liaise closely with the Finance Manager. As
a founding member of the administrative team, they will be instrumental in the growth of the team as the
school develops.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Procurement
● Sourcing and acquiring goods and services at best value
● Identifying and researching potential suppliers for various school needs
● Soliciting and evaluating bids and proposals from vendors to get the best value for the school's
budget.
● Purchase order management - working with school departments and Finance Manager to
understand their purchasing needs and ensure they stay within budget allocations
● Creating purchase orders with accurate details and obtaining necessary approvals.
● Issuing purchase orders to selected vendors.
● Building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and
favourable terms.
● Financial Management and Compliance - monitoring school budgets for procurement activities
and ensuring adherence to financial regulations.
● Processing invoices and making payments to vendors according to agreed-upon terms.
● Maintaining accurate records of all procurement activities for audit purposes - including receipt of
goods and cataloguing.
SBS International School Bangkok - Procurement Officer
SBS International School Bangkok, the latest school in the Arthit Ourairat Institution, a group of bilingual and international schools in Thailand, will open to receive the first student cohorts in August 2025, with a view to all KS-13 year groups being filled three years after opening.
Within the school administrative team the post holder will be responsible for supporting the school’s leading the procurement of supplies and services to ensure maximum operational effectiveness.
The successful candidate will have the capacity to articulate the SBS International School Bangkok ethos in a compelling manner. They will foster and develop excellent relationships with prospective students and parents, and community vendors and stakeholders championing the merits of a SBS education.
The post holder will understand the current educational landscape in Bangkok and have knowledge of school procurement.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, combined with the ability to form and maintain strong relationships, are essential - along with the enthusiasm, energy and a genuine passion for children in education.
Monthly Salary: Up to 25,000 THB depending on qualifications and experience.
Experience and qualification:
● Customer service orientation (essential)
