Demand and Supply Planning Supervisor

Demand and Supply Planning Supervisor is accountable for overseeing inbound activities and inventory optimization according to customer’s forecast, sales trend, and agreed Service level. He/she is also responsible for the projections of all supplies required for the local markets and coordinating product pick-up with relevant operations teams.  

• Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and control inventory level as assigned.
  • Coordinate with customers, vendors for an efficient product supply pattern, both within cost restraints and consistent with vendors’ lead time and MOQ.
  • Monitor on slow moving, dead stock and excess inventory.
  • Handle inquiries or product complaints from customers.
  • Manage product code dates and work with Operations department to ensure FEFO (first expired first out) practice.
  • Respond to special requests from customers, changes or unexpected disturbance in product supply or contingent situations such as delay of vessels, unexpected fluctuation in sales, strikes or stock recovery.
  • Coordinate regular meetings with customers with focus on non-performing stocks, promotion activities, projection alignment on key items, KPI sharing and stores opening information from customers. 
  • Monitor performance of KPI as set up, e.g. Inventory days, total inventory quantity, Supplier Performance.
  • Arrange clearance of leftover premiums, food products and related materials after sales promotions.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual departmental budget
  • Ensure appropriate supplies and stock levels based on Service Level Agreement with customers
  • Ensure a decent inventory planning cycle from sending POs to suppliers to products being received and stored in the warehouse and an efficient product supply pattern are in place
  • Take part in regular physical inventory count together with the Operations, Finance & Accounting departments.
  • Monitor the performance of direct reports, vendors and suppliers.
  • Other tasks/projects assigned by the superior.

• Bachelor of Science Program in Mathematics, Statistics or any related fields.
• At least 4 years experienced in planning, forecasting and purchasing and also 2 yrs. in a supervisory role.
• Highly organized with excellent planning and prioritization skills
• People management skill and also good cooperate with concern party
• Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data
• Strategic thinking with good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Warehouse management, inventory planning, control and procurement knowledge and skills will be advantaged
• Experience in material/purchasing planning in FMCG.
• Good in English skills in term of conversation and presenting
• Be proactive to propose and develop new ideas
