Inspection Business Manager
iCar Asia (Thailand) LimitedWe’re seeking a proactive and strategic Inspection Business Manager to lead and optimise our Inspection Service operations. In this role, you’ll collaborate with the Head of Operations to develop impactful strategies, oversee key accounts, manage risks, and drive team productivity to achieve operational excellence.
About the Team:
The Operations team supports revenue departments in various aspects, including business intelligence reporting and customer service for both private sellers and dealerships. Key activities include delivering business analysis reports, providing exceptional customer service, and offering sales support to enhance customer satisfaction through service excellence. Within Operations, we have several specialised teams:
- Automotive Photographers: Our team members take photos of car listings, upload them, and ensure accurate car details are entered on the website.
- Inspection Service: We offer quality assurance to our dealers by providing OEM-standard inspection services nationwide.
- Quality Assurance: We ensure listings created by the Automotive Photographers contain all required information for upload and are ready for display. We also verify listings to prevent fraudulent ads and duplications from appearing on our website.
- Customer Service: We assist callers (dealers and private sellers) who encounter difficulties using our site.
- Business Intelligence: We track and generate essential reports on credit and classified performance through systems such as CRM, Yellowfin, Google Studio, and Tableau. Our team ensures business reports are accurate and generated effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development and Implementation: Collaborate with the Head of Operations to devise and execute strategies that align with the company’s growth and expansion objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement plans to optimise systems and operations.
- Key Account Management: Serve as the primary account manager during implementation phases to support the revenue team in achieving targets.
- Business Oversight: Lead and manage all aspects of the inspection business to ensure seamless operations and alignment with company goals.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks that may affect business operations and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with the sales team, dealers, and business partners. Negotiate contracts, engage with key stakeholders, and oversee partnerships to support business objectives.
- Team Planning and Productivity: Develop effective workforce plans to enhance team productivity and improve customer satisfaction levels.
- Training and Development: Provide comprehensive training for the inspection team, addressing issues and mistakes to ensure corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented.
- Coordination and Capacity Management: Oversee daily inspection appointments in collaboration with dealers and sales teams. Maximise team capacity through strategic planning and efficient coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in automotive, sales operations, or after-sales service.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate teams, with at least 1 year of experience managing team members.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing operational strategies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, writing, and reading) is a plus.
- Self-motivated with a proactive, customer-centric mindset and the ability to perform effectively in a dynamic environment.
