Cost Accounting
McThai Co.,Ltd.- Oversee the cost accounting function, including the development and maintenance of standard costing systems.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and variances to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
- Prepare and review cost reports and variance analysis for management review.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls related to cost accounting processes.
- Manage inventory accounting processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and physical inventory counts.
- Monitor inventory levels and aging, and collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize inventory turnover.
- Identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory and recommend appropriate actions to minimize write-offs.
- Implement inventory control procedures to safeguard inventory accuracy and prevent shrinkage.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements related to cost and inventory.
- Provide financial analysis and insights on inventory-related matters to support decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of inventory transactions in the general ledger.
- Continuously evaluate existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and automation.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing cost management practices and inventory control procedures.
- Develop and implement best practices for cost accounting and inventory management to drive operational excellence.
- Supervise and mentor a team of cost accountants and inventory analysts, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment focused on achieving departmental goals and objectives.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set performance goals, and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in cost accounting, inventory management, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation methods, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial reporting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead a team.
