• Collaborate with project teams to understand and document defect management needs and priorities.
• Coordinate and facilitate defect triage meetings to assess and prioritize issues.
• Assign defects to the appropriate team members or cross-functional teams for resolution.
• Monitor the progress of defect resolution and ensure adherence to project timelines.
• Maintain comprehensive defect logs, track resolutions, and update status in relevant tracking tools.
• Communicate defect status, updates, and risk to stakeholders and project management teams.
• Develop and maintain defect management processes and best practices.
• Generate and present defect reports and metrics to showcase project and team performance.
• Act as the main point of contact for defect-related inquiries and communications.
• Work closely with quality assurance, development teams, and project managers to ensure seamless communication and coordinated project efforts.
• Proven experience in defect management or a similar role, preferably within a software development or IT environment.
• Proficiency with defect tracking and project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data to identify trends and risks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies is a plus.
• Experience in agile environments is a plus.
