JOB SUMMARY:
Lead MPT delivery of suspensions to our customer, from prototypes through mass production, that meet quality, performance and manufacturability requirements. Coach and mentor team to continuously improve our ability to deliver suspensions. Bring solutions and innovations to the team using your technical and management skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the extended project teams that own the delivery of the products to the customer
- Program manage and deliver new suspensions from prototype phase to mass production
- Provide product engineering support during mass production
- Execute NPI to the committed schedule and requirements
- Understand and meet customer requirements
- Understand and resolve customer issues
- Ensure delivery of perfect parts to customer throughout NPI
- Deliver stable and congruent manufacturing process to mass production.
- Providing management and leadership for PME
- Develop positive relationships with customer’s engineering, quality and commodity teams while protecting the best interests of the company.
- Be directly involved in critical projects and key issues.
- Communicate product status and issues internally and with the customer
- Lead problem solving and analysis.
- Lead cross-functional teams including Design engineering, Quality and Operations to resolve customer, as well as internal, issues
- Resolve all issues at customers
- Grow the team’s capability in delivery and organizational efficiency
- Lead PME to address next generation requirements and identify opportunities to deliver a competitive advantage.
- Cultivate best practices and continuous improvement of processes for PME and NPI.
Education Required: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in engineering, physics or mathematics.
Skill Required:
- Project Management experience in delivering products on-time to a schedule
- Proven leadership and people management skills with both direct and indirect reports
- Hands-on with great attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with customers in a professional and knowledgeable capacity
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Thorough knowledge of drive industry or suspension industry
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with a variety of different contacts
Experience: 15 years of product development management experience in related fields.
