We are seeking a skilled Piping Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for engineering design tasks while also providing support with drafting. This role requires a strong understanding of piping systems and the ability to create and modify detailed engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the engineering design of piping systems, ensuring all designs comply with specifications and requirements.
- Incorporate changes or modifications of drawings according to suggestions from the Engineer/Manager and coordinate with the Piping & Process Design team.
- Model 3D Piping using AutoCAD Plant3D; knowledge of Revit is an advantage.
- Develop and maintain 2D/3D CAD drawings, including Piping and General Arrangement (GA) layouts. Experience in creating general layout drawings across all disciplines is an advantage.
- Ensure all drawings are updated using AutoCAD.
- Revise and create as-built drawings, maintaining the design drawing database.
- Perform any other tasks as required by the superior.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant area, and/or relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Piping design, with drafting experience being an advantage. Experience in the Food or Chemical industry is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ASME and BS EN standards is an advantage.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to self-manage billable hours and complete work efficiently and accurately.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (both 2D and 3D) and MS Office.
- Ability to understand and speak basic English.
