Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Fire Fighting System Engineer to support a client project by rectifying, installing, and ensuring compliance of an existing Fire Fighting System. The selected candidate will be deployed on-site for a fixed-term period of 10 months (March 2025 – December 2025), responsible for correcting non-compliant installations, conducting system tests, and ensuring full adherence to NFPA standards and local fire safety regulations.

Installation & Rectification:
  1. Assess and correct previous installation errors that do not comply with NFPA and local fire codes.
  2. Install and modify fire suppression system components (piping, sprinkler heads, control panels, detection devices, and suppression agent storage).
  3. Ensure proper electrical wiring and integration for activation and monitoring.
  4. Verify and realign sprinkler head placement and piping layout to match fire safety design plans.

System Testing & Compliance Auditing:
  1. Conduct hydrostatic pressure tests on piping systems to ensure structural integrity.
  2. Perform flow tests on sprinkler heads and validate water discharge levels.
  3. Test and calibrate control panels, smoke detectors, and heat sensors.
  4. Ensure the entire system meets NFPA standards, local fire safety laws, and client specifications.
  5. Prepare compliance reports and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

Documentation & Reporting:
  1.  Maintain detailed records of all modifications, tests, and corrective actions taken.
  2. Provide as-built drawings and technical reports for client and regulatory approval.
  3. Document any deviations from original design and obtain necessary approvals before implementation.

Site Coordination & Stakeholder Communication:
  1. Work closely with the client, project managers, and other construction trades to ensure seamless system integration.
  2. Communicate technical issues, system status, and recommendations clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  3. Provide guidance on fire safety best practices to site personnel.


Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Valid Engineering license from COE of Thailand / Fire Protection Systems Certification
  3. Technical Skills & Experience:
  4. 5+ years of experience in Fire Fighting System installation, troubleshooting, and compliance auditing.
  5. Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and Thai fire safety regulations.
  6. Proficiency in reading blueprints and fire protection system schematics.
  7. Expertise in plumbing, pipe fitting, and electrical wiring for fire suppression systems.
  8. Experience working with fire suppression technologies (water-based, clean agent, foam systems).
  9. Ability to troubleshoot and rectify non-compliant system installations.

Safety & Compliance Knowledge:

  1. Valid licensure from the Council of Engineers Thailand (COE) is required.
  2. Deep understanding of Thai fire safety laws, NFPA standards, and local compliance regulations.
  3. Experience working in hazardous environments, including confined spaces.
  4. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to site safety procedures.

Soft Skills:

  1. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and correct installation issues.
  2. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a project-based environment.
  4. Strong attention to detail for ensuring full compliance.

Employment Details:

  1. Contract Duration: Fixed-term, March 2025 – December 2025 (10 months)
  2. Location: On-site at client project, Lad Krabang, Bangkok
