Graphic Designer (Photography and Videography)
SHREWSBURY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL BANGKOK, RIVERSIDE
- Design and produce graphical content, layouts and visual merchandise for online, print publications, events, and internal;
- Shooting and editing photo and VDO contents, school activities events, and advertisements for all marketing materials;
- Engage and work with relevant members of staff of the school to understand the brief of designs shots, film or story requirements;
- Develop design material and storyboards according to the brief and inform the relevant team members to ensure understanding of the timeline and content requirements;
- Review all recorded content, assessing the quality of shots and undertaking remediation by re-shooting or editing as appropriate;
- Create animations and digital advertisements, undertake video editing;
- Support filming and photography, both inside and outside of school, as required;
- Follow project-specific design briefs to design, arrange and produce various materials, including posters, booklets, leaflets, web banners or digital advertisement, signage, display and exhibition;
- Contribute design ideas and take the creative lead on projects;
- Ensure that all material produced complies with the school’s style guide;
- Comply with Thai PDPA and social media rules and regulations.
Professional Expectations:
The following skills and experience are essential for this position:
- Possess at least bachelor degree
- 3–5 years practical experience in photography and videography production team environment;
- high degree of competence in the use of in Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Photo and VDO editing and creative drawing skills; (a sample portfolio of previous work to demonstrate these skills would be advantageous);
- knowledge and experience of other graphic/layout/product design applications;
- some previous experience of pre-press asset management, working with print and media suppliers would be advantageous;
- be proficient in the use of both PC and Mac, and Microsoft Office;
- sufficient spoken and written English ability to understand and communicate technical design instructions;
- be motivated, imaginative, and innovative;
- be aware of and sensitive to the demands of working in a cross-cultural setting;
- be a dedicated worker and able to work to deadlines and to work outside normal working hours when workload and event schedules demand. Some involvement in school events is expected, especially where graphics products (banners, signage, etc) are on display;
- have excellent interpersonal skills.
Desirable criteria:
The following additional skills and experience may be beneficial for this position:
- a professional qualification (degree or certificate) in creative mass communication, graphic design or related;
- have experience of creating storyboards;
- have experience to editing programs like Adobe, creating cloud and being able to use drone;
- possess some experience of working in an international workplace and/or child educational setting.
