- Search for and select suppliers that are qualified and capable of delivering the required goods or services.
- Evaluate and analyze proposals from suppliers to find those offering the best terms and prices.
- Negotiate the terms of sales, product and service prices, including payment and delivery conditions.
- Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
- Prepare and manage procurement contracts, including related documents such as purchase orders, quotations, and delivery receipts.
- Review and approve procurement documents to ensure compliance with organizational policies and requirements.
- Inspect the quality of received goods or services to ensure they meet specified standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with the quality department to resolve issues when goods or services do not meet the specified requirements.
- Control and manage the procurement budget according to the set guidelines.
- Analyze and improve the procurement process to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Plan and manage the supply chain to ensure continuous and timely procurement of goods and services.
- Coordinate with various departments such as production, warehouse, and transportation to ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Assess and manage risks associated with procurement, such as delivery delays, price changes, and quality issues.
- Develop measures and contingency plans to handle emergency situations.
- Analyze and improve the procurement process to increase efficiency and reduce complexity.
- Introduce and utilize new technologies or tools to enhance the efficiency of the procurement process.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or business management (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering) or a related field.
- Training or certification related to procurement or supply chain management.
- At least 2-5 years of work experience in procurement, especially in engineering-related industries.
- Knowledge and understanding of production processes and material and equipment sourcing.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and product specifications.
- Ability to communicate and negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to write and prepare business documents such as purchase orders and contracts.
- TOEIC score of 450 or higher (if available).
