Technical Support Engineer (Security System & Sensing Solution)
Optex (Thailand) Co.,Ltd.- Report to Technical manager. The role carries responsibility for technical and product related matters including Project support, IP integration support and Field sales support for all internal and external detectors within the OPTEX range of sensor equipment. The role is also responsible for the development and implementation of structured training program and product demonstrations for OPTEX partners, customers, installers, strategic partners and other third parties.
- Support all OPTEX partner and customers in the ASEAN regions on projects, from Project planning to commissioning.
- Track and manage projects to ensure that they are technically supported to a high level. This includes site visits, close customer support. Site and configuration diagrams. Customer training and on-site commissioning.
- Perform product support duties where necessary including phone support, remote access and site visits.
- Plan new product launches and to provide all support required for the launch.
- Handle technical requirements for trade shows/ product exhibitions.
- Liaise with third party companies and OPTEX headquarters in Japan to enable more NVR, VMS and Intrusion Prevention System manufacturers to have full or part integration to the OPTEX IP product range.
- Report back to OPTEX headquarters on customer support requests and Project management experience to help the OPTEX headquarters Technical Team improve Pre-and Post-Service.
- Provide necessary technical training/ support to potential partners and customers.
- Resolve technical issues/ problems your customers may have by liaising with all OPTEX headquarters departments.
- Traveling throughout the ASEAN region.

- Male/Female, age 25-35.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or another related field.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar technical role of Electronic Product and/or System Integration.
- Knowledge in IP network is essential. Knowledge in security systems technology, video and system integration is preferred.
- IT literacy including MS Office suite and MS Visio/CAD.
- Technical expertise in resolving product-related issues.
- Demonstrated experience with various software systems and Remote Connection Tools.
- Ability to speak, read and write in English. Communication with Japanese MD, sales team in ASEAN countries and a parent company in Japan is all in English.
- Good personality with excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work independently, be able to self-motivate and self- manage.
- Have an own car with driver’s license.
