Job Description:
• Reporting to and working closely with local Head of Legal and Compliance Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer in Japan.
• Coordinating and investigating Whistle-Blower cases and reporting to relevant parties.
• Manage the request for information and investigation cases from local regulators and local authorities by co-ordination with business units and/or other functions including not only perform monitoring on voice or video recording and review the relevant documents for such request but also perform investigation to ensure complete information/document submission to such concerned parties within specified deadline and timely delivery of assignments.
• Follow up and track outstanding incidents or issues relating to regulatory requirements raised by regulators, and monitor action taken until it has been closed completely.
• Handling local Compliance Promotion Subcommittee.
• Communicating with employees and making sure everyone is aware of what they need to do to comply with internal and external laws and regulations.
• Handling local compliance program and facilitating the preparation and delivery of relevant compliance trainings.
• Promoting regulatory engagements (Competition Law, Privacy Personal Information Protection Law, Anti-Money Laundering or so on).
• Periodically reviewing local Policies and Directives in relation to compliance matter to ensure adherence to local rules and regulations.
• Developing the annual compliance action plan and periodically revising the compliance action plan.
• Providing strategic direction to the local management team on compliance.
• Regulatory Monitoring: Monitor changes to laws and regulations in the areas that impact to the Group operation e.g. anti-trust, anti-corruption, personal data protection, human anti money laundering and guidance in order to ensure the Group’s compliance.
• Policy Issuance, Review and Update: Issuance, Review and update corporate compliance policies and regulatory matters such as the Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, Business Ethics, Anti-competition, and Personal Data Protection.
• Training and Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to provide guidance on compliance matters and facilitate training programs.
• Communicate with all relevant business units and company within UDT Group to ensure compliance in business operations and update management on all non-compliance issues.
