The MEP Engineer will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and overseeing all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in real estate development projects. This role ensures that MEP installations align with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Design & Planning: Develop and review MEP designs, ensuring compliance with building codes and project specifications.
Project Coordination: Work closely with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into construction projects.
Site Supervision: Oversee MEP installations, troubleshoot issues, and maintain quality control.
Budget & Cost Management: Assist in cost estimation and procurement of MEP materials and services.
Design Validation & Solutions: Identify and resolve civil engineering design issues to support corrective works.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to local regulations and industry standards.
Testing & Commissioning: Manage inspections, system testing, and final project handovers.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare design criteria, scopes, employer requirements, and official reports. Draft tender evaluations, monthly reports, memoranda, and other essential documentation.
Tender Evaluation: Conduct tender assessments and prepare evaluation reports.
Engineering Design & Calculations: Develop plans for grading, roadways, drainage, water distribution, wastewater systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and fire detection systems in compliance with local and international guidelines.
Site Assessments: Perform periodic quality and compliance checks on engineering projects.
Installation & Commissioning Oversight: Supervise the installation and commissioning of MEP works.
Value Engineering Contributions: Provide insights to optimize cost-effective engineering solutions.
Technical Specifications: Prepare detailed technical specifications for all civil and MEP projects.
Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal and external teams as required.
Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties relevant to the role as needed.
