Production Supervisor
Sony Device Technology (Thailand) Co.,Ltd- Prepare Resources for Manufacturing: Plan and organize manpower, machinery, and materials in advance to ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing processes and maintain optimal productivity.
- Monitor Daily Production Progress: Track daily production activities, promptly identifying and resolving any issues, and take corrective actions to meet production targets.
- Quality, Cost, and Productivity Management: Plan, review, and analyze quality, operations, cost, and productivity metrics, and develop improvement strategies to enhance performance.
- Ensure Standards Compliance: Oversee production lines and ensure all products and processes comply with international standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF16949) to maintain high levels of quality and reliability.
- Supervise and Train Production Workers: Coordinate the activities of production workers, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and providing ongoing training to maintain a skilled and efficient workforce.
- Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments (e.g., engineering, quality assurance) to streamline production processes, optimize performance, and maintain adequate inventory levels by ordering supplies and materials as needed.
- Foster a Positive Work Environment: Address employee concerns, ensuring a supportive and productive atmosphere that promotes teamwork and high morale among staff.
- Budget and Cost Efficiency: Participate in the preparation of departmental budgets and continuously monitor expenses, contributing to cost control and efficient resource use.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial engineering, Production engineering, or a related field. We are also open to candidates from other engineering disciplines, provided relevant experience in a production supervisory role, particularly within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Previous experience managing production lines, teams, and processes in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of production processes, equipment management, and operational standards. Candidates should have a foundational knowledge of how production systems operate, with the ability to oversee day-to-day activities and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing (e.g., Kaizen, 5S) and process improvement techniques, such as Six Sigma, is preferred but not required. Candidates with a willingness to learn and implement these methodologies are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required to lead teams effectively, resolve conflicts, and collaborate with other departments is essential.
- TOEIC score (for English proficiency) or JLPT certification (for Japanese proficiency) will have an advantage.
