Roles & Responsibilities:
• The Head Bartender is responsible to provide the highest level of hospitality when preparing and providing beverages and the role will include key responsibilities such as:
• making drinks, perform all necessary tasks to service beverages according to the standard of performance and drinks manual of the venue
• possessing a large knowledge of drink recipes
• work towards the timely set up of the bar areas and the completion of all mise end place works, in line with the opening hours
• maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the bar area
• handle guest complaints directly or refer them to the Restaurant Manager
• supervising other bartenders
• ordering supplies, fruits and alcohol and overseeing the workings of the bar area
• knowing how to do a weekly stock and report to the Restaurant Manager
• report to the Group Mixologist regarding every problem with suppliers, changing recipes or preparations, events
Experience:
• Usually, a minimum of one year of bartending experience is required for head bartenders. Since the head bartender is in charge of the overall daily bar functions including managing other bartenders, they must possess problem-solving skills, organizational skills and communication skills. Other management
• experience or training experience is not required, however, is helpful when applying for the job of head bartender.
