- Select materials for mechanical designs based on structural needs and materials specifications.
- Advise on materials specifications including chemical, material processing and coating specifications, material testing reports.
- Prepare test setups and develop test reports Develop and implement test protocols for materials reliability, design of experiments, materials certification and failure analysis.
- Maintain detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development including tests reports.
- Maintain sound knowledge in the all metallic/polymer/composite materials and processes, including but not limited to honeycomb panels, carbon fiber composites and aluminum alloys.
- Support and study for redesigning the existing products.
- Review and analyze project proposal, Engineering Change Requests and drawing release to determine and validate feasibility, manufacturability, sustainability of material and process solution
- Resolves complicated issues regarding requirements for materials, parts and processes used in the manufacture of products.
- Develops company strategies for standardization. Leads evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs and lead their integration. Establishes standards to qualify new materials, parts and processes to new materials, parts and processes to meet requirements.
- Establishes standards to qualify suppliers. Develops failure analysis processes to meet unique requirements
- Maintain the close relationship with suppliers, partners and customers to answer technical queries
- Education not below bachelor's degree in Material Science or Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- Good knowledge in all metallic/polymer/composite materials
- Experience in aerospace field is recommended
- Knowledge in certification/Qualification is a plus
- Proficient English, both oral and written skills required
- Minimum 3 years of experience
