Materials Sourcing Executive [Manufacturing]
Thai Garment Export Co., Ltd. (นนทบุรี)- Continually search locally for potential suppliers for consumables, spare parts and other materials assigned within the relevant sourcing guidelines and regulations.
- Benchmark the price and quality levels of locally sourced with the Corporate Sourcing team to ensure cost-effectiveness as needed.
- Participate to build relationships with suppliers to ensure cost-effective and on-time supply of quality materials.
- Proactively keep updated on the current price trends in the market. Negotiate price with suppliers to reduce cost. Obtain quotations to support decision-making by Materials Sourcing Director as needed.
- Develop and test substitutes for materials required to save cost for all departments as appropriate.
- Identify internal customers’ key expectations from the Purchasing function.
- Recommend to the Materials Sourcing Director suppliers to be used based on their quality, service and cost.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Procurement, Industrial Management, or Engineering.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in procurement or materials sourcing (experience in manufacturing or factory operations is an advantage).
- Strong ability to analyze and compare pricing, quality, and terms from suppliers.
- Professional negotiation skills to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Knowledge of current market price trends and the ability to propose material substitutions for cost savings.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely material supply.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems related to procurement.
- Fluet English [TOEIC 750]
- Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations for purchasing processes.
