Costing Manager
Crown Food Packaging (Thailand) Public Co.,Ltd.- Develop and maintain accurate cost accounting systems and processes.
- Review and ensure accurate product costing, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
- Oversee and manage inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and standard costing.
- Perform in-depth cost analysis and profitability assessments for product lines and business segments.
- Prepare periodic cost reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
- Analyze and monitor cost variances, identifying areas for improvement or optimization.
- Provide cost data and insights to support business strategies, pricing decisions, and operational efficiencies.
- Assist in the preparation of the company’s annual budget and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure budget adherence and cost control measures.
- Work closely with the procurement, production, and operations teams to develop cost models and understand production flow.
- Participate in product development and pricing discussions to ensure accurate costing for new products.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and procedures related to costing and inventory.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate costing and inventory records.
- Lead and mentor the costing team, providing guidance on technical costing matters and career development.
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA/CMA is a plus).
- 5-7 years of experience in cost accounting or finance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Solid experience with standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.
- Proven experience in leading a team and managing cross-functional collaborations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to present financial data and insights to both finance and non-finance teams.
