Responsibility
Safety Compliance:
- Ensure the company complies with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and legislation.
Risk Assessment:
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend solutions to mitigate risks.
Safety Training:
- Develop and implement safety training programs for employees.
- Conduct safety training sessions and workshops.
Incident Investigation:
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
- Prepare reports and suggest preventive measures to avoid future incidents.
Safety Policies and Procedures:
- Develop and update safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure employees are aware of and follow safety policies.
Safety Inspections:
- Perform regular inspections of the workplace to ensure safety standards are met.
- Check safety equipment to ensure it is in working order.
Emergency Preparedness:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Conduct emergency drills and ensure all employees are trained in emergency procedures.
Health and Safety Records:
- Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training.
- Prepare and submit safety reports to management and regulatory bodies.
Promoting Safety Culture:
- Promote a positive health and safety culture in the workplace.
- Encourage employee participation in safety programs and initiatives.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in Safety field.
- Bachelor's degree in health safety and environment or related field.
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.
- Certification in safety management is preferred.
- Ability to identify potential safety hazards and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Proficient in English and be able to communicate safety procedures and policies effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to train and educate employees on safety practices.
