SBS International Bangkok, based in Lat Krabang - Senior Accountant
Roles & Responsibilities
• Maintain a full set of accounts for the holding company and SBS International School Bangkok
• Perform regular month-end closing activities to ensure accurate and updated accounting records, including prepayments, accruals, bank reconciliation, and accounts reconciliation
• Update and maintain the fixed assets register, ensuring accurate records of asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation
• Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing and payment tracking
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts to ensure timely collection of payments
• Analyze accounts receivable aging reports and provide regular updates to the management
• Manage the accounts payable process, including the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices
• Verify and reconcile vendor invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts, resolving discrepancies as needed
• Manage all sales transactions on the POS system with high accuracy and efficiency
• Prepare withholding tax, VAT, and corporate income tax filing
• Support external auditors during annual audits by providing documentation and explanations
● Develop and maintain adequate internal controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
● Perform any other tasks as assigned
● The role also includes working in Procurement and HR functions until the school establishes itself with more students and staff
● Occasional weekend work may be required for roadshows and special events
Experience and qualification:
Accounting licence (CPD) *Required
- Experience in service delivery in a school environment would be desirable
- Operational experience of School Management Accounting Systems
- Budget and Profit & Loss ownership
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Degree or higher level qualification in related area, Accounting is preferred, consistent with having a CPD license
- Right to work in Thailand

The post holder will be responsible for directing and managing all financial aspects for the school. The postholder will be instrumental in the growth of the finance team as the school develops.
We are seeking to appoint a capable and experienced colleague to provide management and delivery of the School’s finance functions and requires a hands on approach in the early years of operation to provide both basic accounting services and more advanced senior level control . A professional, capable of implementing and driving financial strategies in a fast paced and competitive market. Maintaining and promoting financial targets and building SBS Bangkok into the leading bilingual school within the regional market.
The successful candidate will have the capacity to articulate the SBS Bangkok financial ethos in a compelling manner. They will provide a five star service to parents and community stakeholders and be comfortable with customer service and interaction.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, combined with the ability to form and maintain strong relationships, are essential - along with the enthusiasm, energy and a genuine passion for delivery of an outstanding service.
