The Chinese Guest Service Agent and Event Support role at The Distillery Phuket - Home of Chalong Bay is responsible for delivering exceptional experiences for our Chinese-speaking guests and supporting the smooth operation of events. This position combines hospitality with event assistance, ensuring that each guest enjoys a memorable visit and that all events reflect Chalong Bay’s commitment to quality and unique spirit experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests, offering a warm introduction to The Distillery Phuket and its offerings.
- Act as the primary contact for Chinese-speaking guests, providing tailored information on the distillery’s tours, tasting experiences, and products.
- Assist guests with inquiries, reservations, and purchases, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.
- Coordinate and support Mandarin-speaking guests during distillery tours, explaining the Chalong Bay story, product details, and answering any questions.
- Offer translation assistance to enhance understanding and appreciation of the distillery process.
- Handle guest check-ins for tours or events, ensuring all requests are documented and met.
- Support in processing payments, managing reservations, and addressing any concerns to guarantee satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Event Manager to assist with the setup, coordination, and breakdown of events at The Distillery Phuket, with a focus on enhancing the experience for Chinese-speaking clients and guests.
- Provide on-site support during events, including helping with guest registration, seating, and addressing any special requests.
- Serve as a communication bridge between Chinese-speaking guests/clients and event staff, ensuring smooth, bilingual interactions.
- Assist with event promotions, providing information to Chinese-speaking clients on future events, workshops, or unique offerings at The Distillery Phuket.
- Address guest and client feedback during tours or events, handling concerns in a professional manner and escalating issues when necessary.
- Document any recurring issues related to guest satisfaction and event coordination for continuous improvement.
- Fluent in Mandarin, English and Thai (spoken and written), with the ability to provide clear translations during tours and events.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in guest services, tourism, hospitality, or event support is preferred.
- Familiarity with spirits or interest in the distillery industry is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to remain composed and effective under pressure in fast-paced environments.
