1.Supplier Identification and Evaluation:
-Research and identify potential suppliers for materials, components, or services.
-Evaluate suppliers based on factors like quality, cost, delivery capabilities, and sustainability.
-Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term, productive partnerships.
2.Cost Optimization:
-Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to get the best value for the company.
-Analyze and compare costs of different suppliers to find cost-effective solutions.
-Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies to minimize costs without compromising quality.
3.Technical Specifications and Requirements:
-Work closely with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to understand the technical requirements of materials or components.
-Ensure that the selected materials meet quality, performance, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with internal teams to make sure the right specifications are met and that any design changes are communicated effectively.
4.Supply Chain Coordination:
-Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
-Track inventory levels and manage reordering processes to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
-Implement and manage a reliable supply chain that minimizes lead times and maximizes efficiency.
5.Risk Management:
-Identify potential supply chain risks, such as supplier delays, quality issues, or geopolitical concerns, and develop contingency plans.
-Ensure compliance with all legal, environmental, and quality regulations in sourcing.
6.Process Improvement:
-Continuously review and improve sourcing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
-Implement new sourcing technologies or software to streamline operations.
-Analyze sourcing metrics and report on performance to management.
7.Collaboration:
-Work closely with other departments (e.g., production, engineering, and quality control) to ensure seamless communication across the supply chain.
-Support the development of new products by sourcing new materials or technologies.
8.Quality Assurance:
-Ensure that sour materials and components meet the required quality standards and specifications.
-Conduct inspections or audits on supplier facilities when necessary.
-Work with quality control teams to resolve any defects or quality-related issues.
Bachelor's degree in engineering field or related field.
Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Engineering expertise: Understanding of materials, components, and manufacturing processes relevant to the industry.
Familiarity with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance in procurement.
Supplier Evaluation and Management: Experience in assessing suppliers for technical capability, quality and delivery performance.
Contract and Cost Management: Expertise in managing technical procurement contracts and negotiation cost effective solutions.
MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power point, Power BI
Good command spoken/written in English preferred.
