- Maintain the production element of the industrial dossier, mainly the Manufacturing Bill of Materials, Routers, and Standardized work instructions (including operation’s allocated time)
- Manage deliverables during the manufacturing (production) engineering phase, such a production documentation and industrial validation.
- Provide feedback to design engineering to improve product design for ease of manufacturing, optimization of cost, weight reduction and time to manufacture the product.
- Identify the necessary investments and oversee their implementation.
- At the product design phase: - ensure that production constraints and opportunities are considered - evaluate the robustness of industrial arrangements - propose changes to definition files to make production cost, quality and delivery objectives easier to achieve.
- Solve prototype manufacturing issues and communicate solutions to design engineering.
- Review 2D drawings for manufacturability.
- Perform time studies, develop work breakdown, and develop standard work instructions.
- Contribute to the costing proposals submitted to customers.
- Lead and participate in Kaizen and 3P events to develop improvements and plans.
- Support Departmental and Personal Objectives/Measurements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, showcasing a strong academic foundation in the field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in English, both written and verbal, ensuring effective communication in a professional setting.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of engineering principles and practical application.
- Proficient in utilizing the Windows Operating System® and Office 365, with a solid command of design software and expertise in leveraging Power BI for data analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of airworthiness regulations, highlighting a comprehensive understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Familiar with Lean – Six Sigma, with practical experience in implementing LEAN tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and “5S” methodology, showcasing a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
