Radio Operator Technician

LOCATION: Ayutthaya

SALARY: Starting from TH฿ 540,234 to 945,418 per annum

WORK HOURS: 40 hours per week

This is a senior radio technician position requiring versatile abilities. Skills and knowledge at the journeyman level in the maintenance and operation of high-power medium wave transmitter (1,000KW), high power Radio Frequency (RF) signals and antenna systems, audio streaming and computerized system, communications equipment, Television Receive Only (TVRO) & satellite system, analog/digital control and remote control systems for the purpose of radio broadcasting are required.

The incumbent is required to be an expert in both areas of Maintenance and Operation, and be required to maintain, operate and/or modify all station equipment. This position also requires the incumbent to solve the most complex maintenance problems and train junior level employees on the maintenance of electronic equipment. The incumbent is under general direction of appropriate area supervisor. This is a non-supervisory position.

(1) Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.

(2) Experience: A minimum of four (4) years' experience in operation and maintenance of high-power shortwave or Mediumwave broadcast transmitters and associated equipment or equivalent.

(1) Education: Completion of college or university studies (At least two years of full time, post-secondary study at college or university) is required.

(2) Experience: A minimum of six (6) years' experience in operation and maintenance of high-power shortwave or Mediumwave broadcast transmitters and associated equipment or equivalent.

(3) Language: Good working knowledge in Speaking/Reading/Writing English and Thai are required. Please clarify level of your Thai language skills on application.

• You are required to pass the English Placement test (EPT) that is conducted by the Regional Human Resources Office or submit a copy of valid TOEIC score of at least 600 with your application before the interview.

• Must be able to read schematic diagrams.

• Must be able to use the following software: Microsoft Office.

• Must have knowledge of electronic theory, medium wave radio transmitters, and associated equipment, operations, maintenance, personnel, and administration.

• Must have theoretical and practical knowledge of radio systems, and antenna.

• Must have in-depth knowledge of digital signals, automated digital control systems, satellite communications systems, analog signal switching.

• Must have knowledge of frequency synthesis circuits, solid state RF amplifiers, and antenna systems.
