WORK HOURS: 40 hours per week

BASIC FUNCTIONS REQUIRED:
The incumbent will typically perform a variety of administrative tasks to support any Department of State
section, i.e., Management, Consular, Public Affairs, Political, Economic and Security on an as needed basis
assigned by the Human Resources Specialist. The specific functions can vary depending on the needs of the
office, but some common responsibilities may include scheduling and coordination, handling correspondence
such as emails and other forms of communication, document management to include organizing and
maintaining files, general office support to include answering phones, greeting visitors, ordering office supplies,
making photocopies and other routine tasks. This position may be requested to plan events such as conferences,
seminars, or office gatherings. This may also include securing venues, coordinating vendors, and managing
guest lists. Overall, the role of a roving secretary is to provide efficient and effective administrative support to
help the assigned section operate smoothly and achieve their goals.
(1) Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
(2) Experience: At least two years of administrative and/or clerical work experience in an office environment is
required.
(3) Language: (This may be tested)
- Good Working knowledge (Reading/Writing/Speaking) of Thai is required.
- Good Working knowledge (Reading/Writing/Speaking) of English is required. You can submit a copy of valid TOEIC score (Listening and Reading Section) of at least 600, or pass the English Placement Test (EPT) that is conducted by the Human Resources Office.
(4) Skills: (This may be tested)
- Ability to use various programs and databases is required.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be familiar with standard office equipment (computer, scanner, copier, printer, fax machine, etc.) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Email.
- Ability to organize routine data and maintain established procedures; to gather information and draft to supervisor's stated requirements; and ability to use judgment to analyze information and take appropriate actions (phone calls, time management, prioritizing work, etc.).
